Finallly!

Bailey has been asking me everyday, "How many more days till we go deer hunting?"  Well today is finally Bailey's big day.  She has been jumping out of her skin waiting for this.  Michael and Bailey were going to join Jay Meyer and his boys along with Paul Beasley and his boys for a weekend of true blue deer hunting.  They packed up the horses with all their gear and headed for a two hour horse back ride into hopeful Bambi territory.  Now I tried to warn Bailey about all of this, I told her she would be sleeping with a bunch of stinky boys and that she would have to go to the bathroom out in the woods alone.  That didn't stop her.  (it did the other three)  

Well to make a long story short.  They did not kill any deer (they barley spotted one).  But Conner Meyer did shoot a grouse. Unfortunately it didn't kill the poor bird so he grabbed it by the neck and he was going to wring his neck to break it.  But he did it so hard that he ripped the head off of the birds body and the grouses body was running around without its head.  GROSS!!!  Then they plucked it and ate it.  Michael said Bailey watched the whole thing without even flinching.   She came home and told me all about her adventures and can't wait to go again.
