HE DID IT!! Can you believe it? Michael rode his bike for 206 miles, 12 hours, or 720 minutes. (Whatever sounds most impressive to you) There was five guys total that rode the whole thing (michael included) and they stayed together throughout the day. Michael thought for sure he would be the weak link because he didn't train as long as the rest of the group (back surgery, work, vacations) but with all the wonderful hills/canyons that surround us in the Valley he worked very hard to get in as much as he could while he could and in return it made him a very strong competitor! He also had an amazing brother-in-law and friend who weren't about to let him fail.
We are all sooooo proud of you Michael, Congratulations!!!!!
Michael and Jay after the race....Their team name is, "Green Gecko Racing" and they put the jersey's together themselves. I think they look pretty dang cool!
Below is all five members of the team plus someone from a relay team. From left to right is Cody Hunter, Clayton Stucki, relay guy, Kevin, Jay Meyer, and Micheal
And last but not least....Jay and his cute family, Rebecca, Conner and Taylor. We love you guys and thank you Jay for encouraging Michael to do this!

Tell Michael congratulations!!! That is quite a feat! Did you and the girls drive support or support from the sidelines? I bet you'll be joining him on that race before too long...
Good job Michael!! That is awesome!! Maybe someday I will have to do it and give you a run for your money :)
Swell job Michael!!
I bet your bum is sore, Micheal!! What an accomplishment, I think LOTOJA, is one of the craziest races I have ever witnessed.....it is also one of my favorites. Congrats!
Awesome accomplishment! Steve ended up with a pace line of 15 riders the whole way, which helps with drafting. I want to do this in a relay next year...you guys should ride it with us!
