Ogden Half Marathon.....

Well I can't believe it did it!!!!  I actually completed my first half marathon.  It was such a great feeling to have a goal and to finally accomplish it.  I had so many friends and family to support and cheer me on.  Thank you for helping me believe that I could do this.  Here are a few pics of that day.

As you can see in this picture above, Taylar and Morgan are missing.  Taylar broke out with the chicken pox the day before the marathon.......so she stayed home and cheered on the full marathoners that run right by our house.  Morgan didn't want Taylar to be alone...so she opted to stay home with her and cheer.
This is my sister Sadie and I with our metals....Sadie ran the full in 4 hours flat.  She is my hero!
My wonderful parents came to support Sadie and I.  Thank you so much for coming mom and dad....you're the best!
This is my friend Michelle Christie (who didn't even train and whipped out a half....faster than me).  And also here is Nick and Jamie Froerer who whip out a full every year!  Do you see the pressure that surrounds me to perform?
Sorry Jamie, I had to put this in.....Jamie, while running down the canyon spied a nice big juicy doughnut that the volunteers had while they passed out oranges or water.  As they offer her an orange she says, "no thanks, but that doughnut looks good" or something like that. They willingly give her the doughnut and she eats the whole thing.  Well to make a long story short when Nick and Jamie dropped me off at my house after the race, Jamie jumps out of the car and vomits on my front lawn.  And being the good friend that I am, took a picture.  And I am pretty sure that doughnut had something to do with it!!!!!

You go girl! I too feel WAY to much pressure to run around these parts. I came from a "fatty" neighborhood before moving here. What the crap is all this insane running about? I am also proud of Jamie. She did what I would have done. DOWN THE DOUGHNUT AT ALL COSTS! You guys are awesome.

Hey Congrats Karra! That is an awesome accomplishment! Who'd have guessed that donuts wouldn't mix with running. Taylar and Morgan were sure cute there cheering us all on, tell them thanks.

Congratulations Kara! That's an amazing thing to accomplish. That's awesome, but something that I can say with quite a bit of confidence that I will never join you at doing :) I am amazed with people who do (which inlcudes you)!!
