There is an on going dispute in our home whether or not we will get a dog. Not only one dog but two! And guess what? It's 5 against 1 so I think the majority rules!!!! Me and the girls have it all figured out..... we will get 2 pugs when Jessey is in kindergarten or 1st grade. That way I can stay home with the puppies to house train them. Look how cute they are!!!!

You've gotta do it! John and I held out for years and I actually have no regrets at all (doggie door is the key!) We all feel like we added a new family member and I didn't have to get pregnant to do it!!!
I was hoping you guys would want a beagle one day but i guess you hansens are pug people.
Wow, I consider this a very brave and bold move. I am the one putting my foot down on the dog thing. Way more cons (poo, pee, hair, barking, and what do we do with it when no one is home? Maybe that is where the second dog comes in) than pros (they are pretty cute and my girls would love it) from my standpoint. If we add it up I count 5 cons and only 2 pros. Sorry little doggies, I still need some convincing. Let me know how it goes...Troy and my girls will be cheering you on.
I used to feel different until we got a dog, but I believe it's a great experience for the kids. Just take my advice and don't let the kids feed it a whole bag of treats because I can promise you wont like the results...or the floor, or anything within pooping distance. Oh and make sure you walk it every day!
