Why do I do this?

I was going to post this picture a long time ago.  It was taken last year about this time.  And every time I look at my pilates pics I think to myself, "why do I do this?"  Just looking at this makes me moan and groan with pain.  Rachel with "Propulsion Pilates" is the instructor/Owner and she is relentless.  She can make grown men cry, its true.  So Tesha and I were wondering one day on our way to our torture session, Why?  And I think we have an answer for that, it is because our lives have become so mundane and kid oriented that this is the only social life we have. ( its the only social life I have, Tesha has one)  In a way it is our OUT from the house, kids, and husband.  (Don't get me wrong we love our family but I'm sure most of you moms agree we need a break sometimes)  So whether or not we tone up and loose a inch or two, that doesn't matter (because I'm not I just keep eating) the point is that in some crazy way we "recharge our batteries" and then we can take on the day.
By the way Jamie is also in this picture but has since fallen away from our tiny group.  She now teaches and it has gotten hard for her to find the time to sneak away for an hour.  But she is missed!!!  She was very good at getting Rachel sidetracked for a min or two before she would realize that we weren't working out.  (there is no room for slackers in Rachels class)

By the way again, we love Rachel she is a very good instructor and will make you do things you never knew were possible!  Oh, one more thing don't you love how Jamie is talking during the time this pic was taken.  This is soooo classic!  Love you Jame and Tesh :)

couldn't do it without you!! it's totally social for me - but imagine me & how much I eat w/o pilates! I don't feel like it's doing anything for my body, but it is for my mind! so I agree - other than assuming I have a social life - thanks - but no I don't :)
